Freedom Village is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).  The Assistant Director of Nursing is an RN who is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in the Health Center.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the ADON:

  • Supervises direct nursing care in the Health Center.
  • Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated.
  • Makes routine rounds to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment.
  • Assures accuracy and completeness of medical records.
  • Coordinates, conducts, and documents the MDS, resident care plans and conference in the absence of the MDS nurse.
  • Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Assists with orientation of nursing personnel.
  • Participates in family/resident counseling.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  
  • Registered nurse with a current license in PA.
  • Two years' experience in geriatric nursing and/or B.S. Degree in nursing. 
  • Previous supervisory experience
