Position Summary Information
Responsibilities
1) Teach 50% in UG and/or Graduate nursing programs
2) Conduct 50% administrative duties (fall, spring, and summer) as Chair for the Robert E. Smith School of Nursing and Health Sciences
3) Work directly with students, faculty and staff members, program coordinators, and university colleagues
4) Oversee the operations of academic programs [Counselor Education, Nursing, Speech & Hearing, and Social Work]
5) Coordinator curricular planning, implementation, evaluation and revises ( as needed) for all academic programs
6) Collect and analyze data to promote excellence in teaching, scholarship, service, and practice
7) Assist with accreditation requirements for the academic programs of Counselor Education, Nursing, and Social Work
Qualifications
1) Hold a doctorate degree in nursing or a graduate degree in nursing and a doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution
2) Unencumbered current license to practice in Mississippi or hold a multistate license from another NLC state
3) Hold a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification [preferred]
4) Satisfactory criminal background check
5) Minimum five (5) years of experience in a registered nursing education program to include teaching, curriculum development, and program evaluation
6) Hold leadership, management, and/or administrative experience in the discipline of nursing
7) Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience
Salary Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university's resources. Minimum Qualifications
