About the role

Mater Private Hospital Redland is seeking a compassionate and motivated Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our Endoscopy Team on a permanent part-time basis 32 hours per week.

Mater Private Hospital Redland offers the opportunity to be exposed to different areas of Redlands Mater Private Hospital and gain valuable experience. Mater Private Hospital Redland has been supporting Brisbane's Bayside community since 2000 and is Redland Coast's only private hospital facility. Located in the suburb of Cleveland, the 60-bed hospital features 2 operating theatres and a wide range of specialised surgical and medical services, from women's health, urology, ophthalmology, general and orthopaedics.

Salary range: $35.05 - $38.38 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing

Key duties of the role include: 

  • Supporting patients with activities of daily living and assisting to promote comfort, dignity and wellbeing
  • Providing one-to-one patient support and assisting with patient supervision where required
  • Assisting clinical teams to deliver safe and effective patient care under delegation and supervision
  • Maintaining clinical stock levels and supporting equipment cleaning and general upkeep
  • Assisting with transport of specimens, documentation and other patient-related items as required
  • Supporting a clean, safe and organised environment in line with infection prevention and safety standards
  • Communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a collaborative team culture
