Job Title: Control EngineerJob Description

Join a global leader in magnet wire solutions with over 120 years of industry expertise. This position is part of the R&D Engineering Division, where you will be instrumental in driving innovation and development of new processes and equipment. Your role will involve hands-on troubleshooting, programming of PLC applications, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering departments and project managers.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and program PLC applications using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Omron systems.
  • Design panels and schematics utilizing AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Collaborate with other engineering departments, skilled trades, and project managers.
  • Provide technical support for new industrial automated machinery.
  • Interface with additional technical resources to procure new parts.
  • Assist with the integration of machinery to the Ignition platform.
Essential SkilOur Client
  • Associates in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  • Experience in integration work such as installing and designing new equipment.
  • Knowledge of Ignition, SCADA, transformers, switchboards, ethernet networking, and machine communication.
Additional SkilOur Client & Qualifications
  • Experience with Ignition or other SCADA platforms.
  • Experience with medium voltage equipment like transformers and switchgears.
  • Project management experience.
Work Environment

This role is based in both office and factory settings. You'll spend most of your time designing and planning control system projects. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with approximately 20% travel to Franklin, IN.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
