Lead Our Commercial HVAC Service Department


We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Manager to lead our growing service department. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong teams while delivering exceptional customer service.
The Service Manager will oversee the daily operations of our commercial HVAC service department, including technician supervision, scheduling, customer relations, estimating, maintenance agreements, project coordination, and overall department performance.

Responsibilities

·       Manage the day-to-day operations of the commercial HVAC service department.

·       Supervise, mentor, and develop HVAC service technicians.

·       Schedule and dispatch service calls for maximum efficiency.

·       Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

·       Prepare service estimates, repair proposals, and preventive maintenance agreements.

·       Review completed work orders for accuracy and profitability.

·       Monitor labor productivity, service performance, and department KPIs.

·       Assist technicians with troubleshooting complex HVAC systems when needed.

·       Coordinate warranty work and equipment replacements.

·       Work closely with project managers, estimators, and office staff to ensure smooth project transitions.

·       Develop and expand preventive maintenance and service agreement programs.

·       Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.

·       Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and quality service.

Qualifications

·       7+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred.

·       Previous experience as a Service Manager, Service Supervisor, or Lead Service Technician.

·       Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical equipment.

·       Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

·       Ability to prioritize multiple projects and service requests.

·       Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.

·       Experience estimating repairs and preparing service proposals.

·       Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software.

·       Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience managing commercial service departments.

·       Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls.

·       Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.

·       Experience with public works, healthcare, education, and government facilities.

·       EPA Universal Certification.

·       NATE Certification or equivalent industry credentials.
