Job description

Human Resources Assistant

We are currently looking for a Human Resources assistant to perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resources Department. This individual will also provide day to day support to the Human Resources Manager.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Assist in recruiting and on-boarding process to include: candidate selection, phone screening, scheduling interviews and attending job fairs.
  • Maintaining records of all employee training and attendance exception tracking.
  • Complete new hire documentation and conduct employee orientations covering company policies, benefits, emergency plans and general safety training.
  • Review and edit time cards for payroll submission to ensure accuracy and distribute checks to employees.
  • Assist with new hire benefit enrollments and annual open enrollment activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to answer employee questions and concerns and assist in the investigation processes if necessary.
  • Assist Human Resources Manager with a variety of projects when requested and/or assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and quality management requirements at all times.
  • Performs other work-related activities as assigned by the heads of departments or management.
Position Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years previous experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Bilingual a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient utilizing MS Office, and HRIS systems.
  • Possess professional phone etiquette and excellent typing and filing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work self-directed.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to operate with autonomy and discretion.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Good attendance and performance work history.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Physical ability to perform work requiring continuous sitting with frequent bending, twisting, and walking the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs. occasionally.
