Description

Oral & Facial Surgery of the Shoals is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. In this key clinical role, you will support our oral surgeons during procedures, help maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment, and ensure every patient receives outstanding care in a professional and welcoming setting.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of oral and maxillofacial procedures to ensure smooth and efficient treatment.
  • Prepare treatment rooms in accordance with established clinical protocols and safety standards.
  • Maintain strict infection control procedures, including proper sterilization and organization of instruments and equipment.
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic dental x-rays and scans as needed for patient evaluation.
  • Provide patients with clear, supportive post-operative instructions and guidance on oral care.
  • Accurately enter patient information, chart notes, and clinical documentation.
  • Perform administrative and computer-based office tasks using dental software.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of oral surgery or dental assisting experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience preferred, with a strong commitment to patient-first service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer-based tasks and dental software.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
