Job description

Job Description Future Education has a new exciting position that we are recruiting for as a SEN Teaching Assistant for a special educational needs schoo located within the area of Bromley. As a SEN Teaching Assistant in a school for autistic students, your role would be multifaceted and tailored to support the unique needs of each student. Temp to perm role Working days - Monday to Friday Hours - 8:30 to 3:30 pm Pay (Day rate) - 83.33 to 90 Start Date - ASAP Duties of a SEN Teaching Assistant Help students understand and complete tasks

Use strategies to support positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Help with alternative communication methods if needed. Adapt the classroom to minimize distractions and use visual aids.

Support students in interacting and practicing social skills. Work with teachers and specialists to meet students' needs. Track and report on students' academic and behavioural progress.

Requirements of a SEN Teaching Assistant High school diploma or equivalent degree in education is a plus. Certifications in special education would be preferred. Specialized training or qualifications in Special Education Needs (SEN) or related fields.

CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or SEN setting or similar. Experience with specific needs such as autism or other similar needs.

Strong understanding of SEN and effective strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
