Position Description Summary:

The George Washington School of Nursing seeks qualified applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor position to teach onsite at either our Virginia or Foggy Bottom Campus. This full-time, 9 or 12-month non-tenured faculty position is scheduled to begin as early as Summer 2026.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

· Teaching didactic lectures, clinical courses, and labs as needed in the areas of health assessment, med-surg, critical care/acute care, pharmacology, and pathophysiology

· Providing clinical supervision

· Maintain an ongoing record of scholarly productivity, including publications and presentations

· Participating in faculty governance, including serving on departmental, school, and/or university committees

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Doctorate in nursing, education or public health by date of appointment

2. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience teaching in a nursing program

3. Experience with simulation-based learning

4. Evidence of relevant clinical experience
5. Eligibility for unencumbered nursing licensure in DC and VA.
