Ladybird Montessori School is growing! We serve students from birth-high school and are located on 14.5
acres with a working farm and countless opportunities for experiential learning. We have a close-knit,
supportive community and a staff that feels like extended family. Farming and gardening are woven into our
Elementary curriculum, and we are looking for a Guide who is passionate about Montessori education and the
outdoors, and who wants to put down roots in Buda, TX.
We are seeking an experienced Elementary certified (69 or 612) Lead Guide. We will also consider a
candidate with experience as a Lower El Assistant Guide who will begin their practicum over the summer of
2026 to move into the Lead position in the Fall.
We can start a candidate immediately who wants to begin training, or we can wait for a fully
certified Guide to start by August 2026.

Monday Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm

Compensation
- Fully Certified (MACTE 69 or 612): $55,000 $65,000+ per year DOE + benefits
- In Practicum: $45,000 $50,000 per year DOE + benefits(Raise given upon certification

Requirements
Montessori MACTE-approved 69 or 612 Elementary Certification, OR actively enrolled in a MACTE
69 or 612 Practicum
Current State of Texas Elementary Teacher Certification and/or a Bachelors Degree
At least one full year as a Lead Guide, Lead Guide in Practicum, or Assistant Guide in a Montessori
Elementary classroom, with references
We will also consider a Guide with at least one full year of experience teaching 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade in
a public or charter school who is willing to begin Montessori Lower Elementary certification in the
summer of 2026
Must be willing to relocate to Buda, TX 78610 before starting work
Duties
Create and implement a comprehensive Montessori curriculum for lower elementary students
Provide individualized instruction and guidance based on each students unique learning needs
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, independence, and
collaboration
Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning environment
Plan and facilitate engaging lessons across subjects including math, language arts, science, social
studies, and outdoor/farm education
Assess student progress through regular observation, informal assessments, and formal evaluations
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements
Skills and Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Montessori principles and practices
Deep understanding of childhood development theories
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective classroom management skills
Familiarity with learning technology tools and platforms
Proficiency in elementary math concepts
Experience in elementary education or a related field
