Job Summary:

H2L Solutions is seeking a creative and talented Graphic Designer to support federal customers by developing compelling visual communications across print and digital media. The Graphic Designer is responsible for transforming concepts, technical information, and customer requirements into visually engaging products that effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.

The successful candidate will possess strong artistic ability, advanced graphic design expertise, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications while demonstrating exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to develop original visual concepts from initial idea through final production while maintaining customer branding standards and producing high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Design and develop creative visual communication products for print and digital distribution.
  • Create original artwork, illustrations, graphics, diagrams, infographics, presentations, publications, posters, signage, brochures, reports, and other communication materials.
  • Transform customer concepts, technical information, sketches, and written content into professional visual products.
  • Develop creative layouts that effectively communicate technical, scientific, and business information.
  • Produce printready and digitalready files that meet customer production specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical experts, editors, and customers throughout the design process.
  • Ensure all products adhere to customer branding standards, editorial guidelines, typography standards, and visual communication best practices.
  • Prepare files for highend digital printing, largeformat printing, electronic publication, and multimedia distribution.
  • Revise and update graphics based on customer feedback while maintaining project schedules and quality expectations.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
  • Maintain organized digital assets, project files, templates, and artwork libraries.
  • Stay current on graphic design trends, software capabilities, and visual communication best practices.
  • Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional graphic design experience with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related discipline; or
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional graphic design experience with an Associate's degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience creating original graphic designs from concept through final production.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including: oIllustrator
  • Photoshop oInDesign
  • Acrobat oLiveCycle Designer (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including: oPowerPoint

  • Experience designing materials for digital publishing, highend digital printing, and largeformat printing.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Education Requirements (Mandatory):

    Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience;

    OR

    Associate's degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related discipline with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Federal Government or Department of Defense organizations.
  • Experience developing executivelevel presentations, technical briefings, and strategic communication materials for diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating infographics, technical illustrations, diagrams, data visualizations, and other visual communication products that simplify complex technical information.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements and experience designing accessible electronic documents, presentations, forms, and PDFs that comply with federal accessibility standards.
  • Experience utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud, including emerging tools such as Adobe Express and Adobe Firefly, to enhance design efficiency, content development, and creative workflows.
  • Experience preparing artwork for both digital publishing and professional print production, including largeformat graphics and highresolution commercial printing.
  • Knowledge of branding standards, typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, and usercentered design principles.
  • Experience maintaining digital asset libraries, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency across communication products.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics, basic video editing, or multimedia design using Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects is a plus.
  • Experience working within secure or classified environments supporting missioncritical communications.
  • Professional portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical proficiency, and a diverse range of print and digital design projects will be required during interview process.
  • Physical Demands:
  • Frequently sit, stand, and walk throughout office and production environments.
  • Operate computers, digital print production equipment, and document finishing machinery for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, carry, and move paper stock, printed materials, signage, and production supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to perform detailed inspections of printed and digital products.
  • Work Environment/ Location:

    This position is primarily performed onsite within a professional office and production environment supporting federal customers. Work requires close collaboration with project teams and customers while managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    Travel:

    Minimal local travel may be required to support customer meetings, project activities, or business operations. Overnight travel is not anticipated.
