Job Title

Detroit, MI | Google Data Protection Skill: Google Data Protection

Job Description Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical assistance, solution design, and hands on development support for security controls for an email security program.

• Administration of the enterprise email security gateways (e.g. maintenance, configuration, and policy management).

• Identification and resolution of incidents impacting email.

• Support and assist the SOC and CIRT with security incidents and to design new policies to identify and mitigate risk.

• Participate in developing and providing operational documentation to ensure a well-managed and mature security infrastructure.

• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

• Support various teams in understanding incident impacting email, and offering guidance.

Expected skills: Cloud access security brokers (CASB).. Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.. Database access firewalls and database activity monitoring solutions.. Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).. Key and Certificate Management solutions

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of previous mail gateway experience, specifically Proofpoint Email Protection.

• Highly technical and analytical expertise, with a proven deep background (preferred 5+ years' IT experience in addition to cybersecurity) in technology design, implementation, and delivery.

• Knowledge and experience creating and maintaining policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documents.

• Experience configuring email and authentication (SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS).

• Troubleshooting email in large and complex environments.

• Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 (O365) experience.

• Ability to propose and implement creative solutions to eliminate malicious (e.g. phishing) and unwanted email (e.g. spam, "graymail").

• Provide complex technical guidance, oversight, and enforcement of security directives, policies, standards, plans, and procedures.

• Cross-functional understanding of email operations, security practices and the user experience.

• Develop project documentation including detailed security plans, security architecture designs, detailed security implementation and deployment plans, test plans, and security-focused operational procedures and training materials.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to perform data analysis using standard office productivity software.

• Strong knowledge of current cyber security threats and techniques, as well as a dedicated and self-driven desire to research current cyber security.
