Job description


Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking friendly individuals to join us in our mission to help others and serve our local communities.

Our Donation Centers support the entire organization, including different Goodwill programs that assist people with obtaining meaningful employment and bettering their overall quality of life.

As a Goodwill Donation Center Attendant, you would be an essential part of ensuring the success of our stores and Goodwill’s mission. When an Attendant collects donations from generous patrons, they aren’t just doing their job but also helping others in the community.


Available Hours:

Monday-Friday 7AM to 3PM & Saturday 7AM to 12PM

Responsibilities:

  • Cheerfully accept donations from donors and assist them with moving items from their vehicle into the center.
  • Provide receipts to donors and thank them for supporting Goodwill’s mission.
  • Sort/separate the incoming donations into proper sections or bins based on product category.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, answering any customer inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly donation area.


Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Being prepared for considerable standing, reaching, lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift over 40 pounds.
