Position Summary
The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent assists in planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of golf course maintenance operations. Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily planning, coordination, and supervision of golf course maintenance operations.
  • Lead, motivate, and train maintenance staff while promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety.
  • Oversee daily course setup, including cup placement, mowing operations, bunker maintenance, course detailing, and playing condition standards.
  • Assist with turfgrass management programs, including fertilizer and pesticide applications, calibration, recordkeeping, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor and manage irrigation systems, including programming, troubleshooting, repairs, hand watering, and water management practices.
  • Support aerification, topdressing, drainage improvements, course renovations, and capital improvement projects.
  • Participate in budgeting, scheduling, labor planning, inventory management, and equipment utilization.
  • Assist in preparing the golf courses for tournaments, member events, resort functions, and PGA TOUR-related activities, including the RBC Heritage.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal safety regulations and environmental standards.
