Job description

The Golf Course Superintendent is entrusted with the day-to-day responsibilities associated with the maintenance, operation, management, and related construction projects on a public golf course.

This position will directly supervise the Assistant Golf Course Superintendents, Technicians, Mechanic, and Maintenance Foreman. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises up to 10 non-supervisory employees. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
