Superior Rigging and Erecting is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Shop Foreman to lead daily fabrication operations in our Atlanta facility.

This position is responsible for supervising fabrication personnel, coordinating production activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring fabricated steel components are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong structural steel fabrication experience who can lead by example, maintain accountability, and build a high-performing shop culture.

What You'll Do

Shop Leadership

• Lead and supervise fabrication shop personnel.
• Establish daily production priorities and work assignments.
• Maintain accountability for productivity, attendance, quality, and safety.
• Mentor and develop welders, fitters, fabricators, and shop personnel.
• Help build a culture focused on craftsmanship, professionalism, and      accountability.

Production & Scheduling

• Coordinate daily production schedules with the Fabrication Manager.
• Monitor workflow and production progress.
• Identify bottlenecks and resolve production challenges.
• Ensure fabricated materials are delivered on schedule to support project demands.
• Communicate shop status and production updates to leadership.

Structural Steel Fabrication

• Interpret structural steel shop drawings and construction documents.
• Support fabrication of structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Identify constructability concerns and fabrication conflicts.
• Assist with process improvements that increase efficiency and production quality.
• Support welding and fabrication operations as needed.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure fabricated materials meet project specifications and company quality      standards.
• Coordinate inspections and quality documentation.
• Support AISC fabrication standards and best practices.
• Drive improvements in fabrication processes, workflow, and shop organization.

Safety Leadership

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Reinforce company safety policies and safe work practices.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are maintained appropriately.
• Promote a safety-first culture throughout the fabrication shop.

Requirements

Required

• Strong structural steel fabrication experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting shop drawings and construction drawings.
• Leadership experience supervising fabrication personnel.
• Knowledge of welding, fitting, fabrication, and production processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Atlanta.

Preferred

• Five or more years leading structural steel fabrication operations.
• Experience in heavy construction, steel erection, crane, or industrial fabrication      environments.
• Experience supporting AISC-certified fabrication operations.
• Experience managing shop production schedules and workforce planning.
