Job Summary: The RNG Process Engineer will play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining processes for the production of renewable natural gas. This position will require a strong background in chemical or mechanical engineering, process design, and environmental systems. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Design & Optimization: Develop and optimize RNG production processes, including anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, and gas separation technologies.
  • Project Management: Lead or assist in the planning, execution, and commissioning of RNG projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Technical Support: Provide engineering support for ongoing operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, ensuring compliance with quality and efficiency standards.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all processes adhere to environmental regulations and safety standards, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to align process improvements with company goals.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of process designs, modifications, and operational procedures.


Process Engineer Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in process engineering, with experience in RNG, biogas, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD), CAD tools, and data analysis platforms.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of RNG technologies, biogas upgrading, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications are desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
