Job description

Join our team at East Coast Garden Center as a Garden Center Retail Associate and become part of a thriving and supportive work environment. Responsibilities
  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers upon entry
  • Efficiently process customer transactions, including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide product information
  • Maintain accurate cash register balances and process returns/exchanges in accordance with company policy
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail environment
  • Collaborate with fellow retail associates to ensure proper coverage during breaks and lunches
  • Support all Garden Center departments with daily tasks and projects during slow periods or winter season
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to operate cash registers, calculators, and scanners
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and providing refunds
