Position Summary

The Projects & Installs Specialist executes all onsite game installations, managing the day-to-day decisions, direction, and execution of every install from pre-travel preparation through final commissioning, under the direction of the Projects & Installs Manager and Director. This role supports all onsite technical operations, serves as a key point of contact at install sites, and contributes to maintaining the standard for how installs are planned, executed, and handed off. This Specialist also coordinates pre-wiring and assembly at the props warehouse, maintains the team's project management software, and ensures that processes, documentation, and team practices are consistent and continuously improving. This role reports to the Director of Projects & Installs and works day-to-day under the Projects & Installs Manager. Regular domestic travel is required.

Key Responsibilities


Onsite Install Responsibilities

Onsite Execution: Support day-to-day decisions on install sites directing sequencing, resolving conflicts, adapting plans to site conditions, and making final calls on technical approach.
On-Site: Serve as an onsite point of contact for installation, commissioning, and handoff activities; represent the Projects & Installs team to venue contacts and contractors.
Full-Stack Technical Execution: Install, mount, wire, configure, and commission AV systems, control systems, sensors, actuators, lighting (DMX), PCs/tablets, and all networked devices.
Quality & Timeline Standards: Help maintain the pace and standard for onsite execution, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and timeline expectations throughout every phase of each install.

Pre-Install Preparation Assist

Develop, own, and continuously improve technical checklists; stage and bench-test electronics; pre-configure control systems; assemble and label install kits; and verify spare parts and consumables ahead of every trip.

Props Pre-Wiring & Assembly

Plan, build, and QA wiring assemblies and harnesses for props; produce and maintain wiring diagrams, labeling standards, and documentation to ensure repeatable, reliable builds across the team.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues during installs under tight timelines; perform bench repairs, component swaps, soldering/crimping, and firmware/configuration fixes to keep installs on track.

Project Management & Communication

Create, update, and track tasks, timelines, and deliverables in the team's project management software; proactively communicate progress, risks, and onsite decisions to stakeholders and the broader Projects & Installs team.

Inventory & Documentation

Maintain install inventories; label and pack transport-ready kits; update BOMs and spare lists; document install procedures, onsite decisions, and lessons learned to build institutional knowledge and improve future installs.

Client & Partner Coordination

Liaise with internal design teams, project managers, venue contacts, and contractors to ensure smooth install workflows and successful handoffs; represent the team with confidence and professionalism in all onsite interactions.

Shipping and Staging Pre-Install

Conducting final checks of shipments staged to ensure all aspects are onsite and planned out in an organized fashion.

Modular Game Master Installs

Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of modular game master stations at store locations.
