Employers seek these professionals for their ability to work across multiple technologies, including frameworks like React and Node.js, and their adaptability to evolving project needs.

Will Fullstack be replaced by AI?

Full Stack Software Developers perform a range of tasks that involve problem-solving, coding, and system design, which are difficult to fully automate with AI. While AI tools can assist with coding and testing, human oversight and expertise remain essential for complex development projects and creative problem-solving in full stack roles.

Can I learn full stack in 3 months?

For an Assistant Full Stack Software Developer, learning the fundamentals of full stack development in three months is possible with intensive study and dedication, focusing on core skills such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend frameworks. Job description

We are seeking a versatile Full Stack Software Developer to help architect, build, and support an innovative new Electronic Warfare (EW) Planning Tool in support of SPACECOM and broader operational needs. This is an opportunity to tackle technical challenges across the full software development lifecycle, make foundational design decisions, and enable critical mission planning for both analytical and operational users.

You’ll work as part of a small, agile team responsible for everything from prototyping and feature development to support tasks at a classified site. We’re looking for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and is comfortable wearing multiple hats as the product and team grow.

LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed.

Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government, efficiently and effectively. With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors—helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.

  • Collaborate with analysts and end-users to translate requirements into functional and scalable software features
  • Develop both backend and user-facing components for data ingestion, analysis, and visualization
  • Build analytical features, including comparing satellite transponder data with EW system parameters to inform mission planning
  • Participate in key design decisions—such as user focus (analyst vs. planner), simulation architecture, and long-term scalability
  • Integrate diverse data sets (structured and unstructured), including ingestion of classified documents
  • Support testing, debugging, and ongoing maintenance, including bug fixes and IT support tasks at a secure site as needed
  • Document functionality, workflows, and technical decisions
  • Maintain security best practices for classified information throughout the development process

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a fast-paced or mission-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Python; experience developing data-centric applications
  • Familiarity with at least one modern backend or web framework (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI)
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases
  • Solid communication and teamwork skills; comfortable interacting with technical, analytical, and operational users
  • Willingness and ability to work independently on a broad range of development and support tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with analytical/modeling tools, simulation platforms, or operational support software
  • Exposure to electronic warfare, RF systems, or satellite communications
  • Knowledge of classified/secure application development practices
  • Familiarity with DevOps/CI practices, cloud platforms, or modern UI development
  • Experience providing on-site technical support or “full stack” troubleshooting
  • U.S. Citizen eligible for TS/SCI clearance (active clearance preferred)

Security Clearance Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance required; active TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility preferred
  • Willingness to obtain CI Polygraph if required

Target salary range: $100,000 - 170,000
