Front Office Clinic Assistant

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is hiring a Front Office Clinic Assistant to join our East Portland Health Center team. Build healthcare experience. Connect patients with care. Make a difference every day.

At PPCW, your work supports access to essential sexual and reproductive health care, helping ensure every patient is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. As a Front Office Clinic Assistant, you'll often be one of the first people patients interact with, helping create a welcoming and supportive experience from the moment they arrive.

We provide training, mentorship, and a supportive environment where you can grow while making a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll help create a smooth, supportive experience for patients from check-in to check-out.

On a typical day, you might:

  • Welcome patients, check them in, and prepare visit paperwork
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with patient questions
  • Enter and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Verify insurance coverage and discuss payment or funding options
  • Collect payments and complete daily balancing tasks
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to keep appointments running smoothly
  • Help maintain a welcoming, organized front office environment

For many patients, you'll be the first person they meet, and your kindness, professionalism, and compassion help set the tone for their entire experience.

This is a part-time, on-site position (31 hours/week) at our East Portland Health Center.

Monday - Thursday - Friday - Saturday

7:15am–3:15pm - 7:30am–3:30pm - 8:30am–4:30pm - 7:15am–4:15pm

Bilingual Spanish required. You must be able to reliably work this schedule.

Occasional work at other times, days, or PPCW locations may be required to support operational needs.
