Job description

AY2627 Office Assistant - Forensic Science (Work-Study Required)
The Duquesne University Forensic Science & Law Department is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated student worker to provide office and event support for the department. This position is ideal for a student looking to gain professional office experience while working in a collaborative academic environment.
Primary Responsibilities
• • Provide general office support, including filing, copying, scanning, and organizing documents.
• • Assist faculty, staff, and students with general inquiries.
• • Assist with preparing materials for classes, workshops, meetings, and department events.
• • Help with event setup, registration, check-in, and cleanup for department programs and special events.
• • Organize office supplies and assist with inventory management.
• • Deliver and pick up materials across campus as needed.
• • Assist with data entry, spreadsheets, and maintaining department records.
• • Complete other administrative and departmental projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualities
• • Comfortable multitasking and working in a fast-paced office environment.
• • Flexible schedule with availability to assist during occasional department events.
Hours
Approximately 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility around class schedules
