Job description

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Houston, TX.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs a wide variety of tasks assisting a research team with product development products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
  • Compute formulas, percentages or production-specific factors using mathematical procedures.
  • Ensure accurate component preparation.
  • Develop and maintain products.
  • Assist with product testing.
  • Inspect, operate and test completed products to verify functioning and conformance to requirements.
  • Test products to ensure proper position and/or alignment of components for assembly, manually or using hoists
  • Verify parts clearances and fit up
  • Adjust, repair, rework or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and to ensure proper operation.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings or operation manuals.
  • Maintain and lubricate parts or components.
  • Accurately record results and documentation for certification of product to customer requirements.
  • Maintain inventory of test parts and equipment.
  • Conclude test setups and store equipment properly.
  • Maintain and clean office area and lab facility.
  • Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • None Required

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read and understand detailed instruction drawings and specifications on wellhead equipment and valves. Knowledge of good document control and process flow, knowledge of how parts are assembled tested and painted and the tools and equipment used to accomplish it.
  • Knowledge of Quality System

This position operates in an industrial/field environment. The role requires working in and around manufacturing equipment, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials. While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
