Financial Analyst
Our Calgary-based property and construction client is seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Financial Analyst to support the company’s continued growth across multiple projects and business initiatives. Reporting directly to CFO and COO, this role will serve as the primary resource for budgeting, forecasting, cash flow modeling, and strategic financial analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping leadership understand future business performance, capital allocation opportunities, and company-wide financial trends while partnering closely with both Finance and Operations teams. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys building models, analyzing large datasets, challenging assumptions, and turning financial information into meaningful business insights. The organization is experiencing significant growth and requires someone who can help establish scalable planning processes and provide the financial intelligence needed to support strategic decision-making.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process across multiple projects and consolidate
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts to support planning and growth initiatives
  • Develop financial models and analyze project performance to support business decisions
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support strategic planning through forecasting, profitability analysis, and scenario modeling
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Project teams to drive informed decision-making
  • Assist with financial reporting, continuous process improvements and ERP implementation
Your strengths include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
  • CPA, CPA candidate, CFA, MBA, or equivalent education considered an asset but not required
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or a related analytical role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience supporting operational and strategic decision-making through financial analysis
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, ERP systems, or other reporting and analytics tools is considered an asset
  • Exposure to construction, real estate, development, project-based, or capital-intensive industries is beneficial but not required
