As a Field Service Engineer at Gotion, you will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing battery production equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. This hands-on position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and support systems, ensuring equipment operates at peak efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in battery production equipment, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Installation Support: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, collaborating with engineering teams and vendors as needed.
  • Calibration & Testing: Conduct calibration and performance testing to meet operational specifications and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts usage, and system performance metrics.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that equipment complies with local and company safety standards.
  • Customer Support: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve technical issues and provide operational updates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analysis and suggest improvements to equipment reliability and process efficiency.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's degree or certification in a technical field (e.g., Electrical, or Electronic) or equivalent work experience.
    • A Bachelor's of Science would be preferred
  • Local electrical license to carry out field electrical works, or the ability to attain one.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical equipment maintenance or field service
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and software systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel extensively locally and occasionally nationally. 

Preferred:

  • Experience in battery or advanced manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • OSHA or related safety certification.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $120,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits.
