Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

As the Crop Inputs Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development and operation of a profitable crop inputs business. This position works closely with Customer Service Representatives and the facility staff to ensure that business is running efficiently. Your effective leadership skills will provide direction to sales and operational staff in the implementation and delivery of annual and seasonal plans.

Day to Day
  • Responsible for the business development and customer service operations of the facility
  • Growing the volume of the crop inputs business with existing customers and proactively seeking out new business opportunities
  • Monitoring market developments and updates to determine competitive price offerings
  • A hands-on approach to the set up and operation of the chemical and fertilizer facilities
  • Perform regular maintenance and repair on facility equipment
  • Supervise and develop facility operators and truck drivers to ensure operations are safe, efficient, and profitable
  • Oversee all audits, safety programs and the daily operations of the facility
  • Assist with hiring full-time and seasonal operational staff
  • Perform all operational duties required at the facility as needed
What Youโ€™ll Bring
  • Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ experience in the operation of a crop input facility and/or agricultural application equipment
  • Post-secondary in an ag-related, science or business field
  • Experience in team management or supervision, demonstrating effective leadership abilities
  • Valid Class 5 driverโ€™s license
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficient computer skills with aptitude for learning and adapting to new software applications
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills including working collaboratively with other business areas and departments
