Assistant Factoring Broker Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist $18-$25 DOE Job Summary Our client, a growing trucking and transportation company in the Conroe area, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage freight billing, customer invoicing, and collections. The ideal candidate will have experience with load-based billing, freight documentation, and factoring/broker relationships, ensuring accurate and timely revenue collection to support fleet operations and cash flow. Key Responsibilities Generate accurate freight invoices based on rate confirmations, bills of lading (BOLs), and proof of delivery (POD) documents Match invoices to dispatch/load records in TMS (Transportation Management System) software Monitor AR aging reports and proactively follow up with shippers, brokers, and customers on outstanding balances Process and apply payments (ACH, check, wire, factoring remittances) to correct customer/load accounts Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies, detention/accessorial charges, and short-pay issues Manage relationships with factoring companies, if applicable, including submitting invoices and reconciling factored accounts Investigate and resolve disputed charges (fuel surcharges, detention, layover, lumper fees, etc.) Communicate with customers/brokers regarding past-due accounts and negotiate payment arrangements Maintain organized records of BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations, and invoices for audit and compliance purposes Prepare weekly/monthly AR aging and cash flow reports for management Assist with month-end close, AR reconciliations, and journal entries Ensure compliance with customer credit terms and company credit policies Support audits (internal, customer, and factoring company) by providing required documentation Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1–3+ years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in trucking, freight, logistics, or transportation Experience with TMS platforms (e.g., McLeod, Trucking Office, Axon, Samsara, or similar) strongly preferred Familiarity with freight billing documents (BOL, POD, rate confirmations) and accessorial charges Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Excel Strong understanding of factoring processes (if applicable to the client) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and negotiation skills for collections Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage high invoice volume Apply online or at our office: Express can help you find a job that is a good fit for your needs and abilities, and you’ll never pay a fee for our services and support.
