Summary:
Responsible for supporting company operations through the management, relocation, organization, and disposition of assets across multiple facilities. Coordinates inventory tracking, storage optimization, asset transfers, and online liquidation efforts while maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient use of company resources. Provides general facilities and property support, assists with maintenance activities, and promotes safe, organized, and compliant work environments. This role requires strong organizational skills, independent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in handling operational and logistical tasks across various company locations.
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform all duties as an on-site, in-person role; regular and reliable attendance is essential to effectively support facility operations, manage company assets, and respond to operational needs.
• Conduct inventories of company equipment, tools, materials, and other assets, maintaining accurate records of asset locations, condition, and status.
• Coordinate and perform the relocation of equipment, tools, and materials between company facilities and storage locations.
• Organize and optimize the layout of company storage areas to maximize efficiency, accessibility, and safe storage practices.
• Track, document, and maintain accurate records of asset transfers, inventory movements, and disposition activities.
• Identify surplus, obsolete, or unusable assets and assist in determining appropriate methods of disposition.
• Research market value of surplus assets and prepare accurate listings for approved sales platforms or other disposition channels.
• Coordinate communications with prospective buyers and arrange asset pickup, delivery, or transfer logistics as appropriate.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of asset sales, transfers, and disposition activities.
• Assist with the maintenance, organization, inspection, and general upkeep of company-owned facilities, satellite properties, and storage locations.
• Perform basic facility repairs and coordinate maintenance activities as assigned.
• Support facilities, maintenance, and operational improvement projects as directed.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, as authorized, to safely transport equipment and materials.
• Ensure the safe handling, movement, and storage of materials in compliance with company policies and established safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas within facilities and storage locations.
• Respond to facility-related requests and perform other duties as assigned in support of facility and operational needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of general administrative procedures and office practices is required, along with the ability to organize, maintain, and manage physical and electronic records with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The role requires the ability to effectively track tasks, follow through on assignments, and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and experience with ERP systems such as Epicor is necessary. The position also requires the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to resolve work-related issues, as well as the ability to interpret and follow both written and verbal instructions. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required to perform job duties and interact effectively with internal and external contacts.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required, while additional education or coursework in Business, Operations, Logistics, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, asset management, logistics, facilities support, or related operational roles is preferred. Experience with online sales and marketplace platforms such as eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or similar platforms is strongly preferred. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred, although training may be provided. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required to perform job-related travel as needed. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email systems, and online platforms is also required.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, move, and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical, hands-on work for extended periods of time. The position also requires the ability to work in warehouse, storage, and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying temperatures and conditions. Employees must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, push, pull, and stand or walk for prolonged periods as necessary to perform essential job functions. The role also requires the ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and material handling machinery as needed. The position requires sufficient visual and hearing ability to safely perform essential job functions and comply with applicable safety requirements. Employees may be required to successfully complete vision and hearing screenings in accordance with company policy and job-related safety standards.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments. In accordance with established safety guidelines, the position may be exposed to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and industrial conditions such as oils, solvents, fumes, and odors.
