We are partnering with a manufacturing client in the Wood Dale area seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing background who can accurately analyze project costs, review technical drawings/specifications, and support quoting activities for customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for manufacturing projects and customer orders
  • Review blueprints, drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications to determine labor, material, and production costs
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to gather required estimating information
  • Analyze manufacturing methods, cycle times, tooling, and material requirements
  • Maintain pricing databases, vendor quotes, and estimating documentation
  • Assist with cost reduction initiatives and process improvement efforts
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding quote clarifications and project requirements
  • Ensure estimates align with production capabilities, timelines, and profitability goals
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of estimating experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production workflows
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
