Description and Requirements
General Description: Under general supervision, assist management or underwriting team in service and retention of commercial property and casualty accounts. Responsible for routine tasks and established projects.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Coordinate information flow to resolve accounting, audit, or underwriting questions/issues.
โ€ข Verify, invoice, and process insurance policies, endorsements and/or claims.
โ€ข Maintain accuracy and completeness of customer database on agency management system.
โ€ข Process routine to complex transactions.
โ€ข Process and revise draft insurance proposals or quotes.
โ€ข Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness.
โ€ข Answer incoming calls.
โ€ข Open, date stamp, process in-coming mail, and sort outgoing mail.
โ€ข Administer claim reports.
โ€ข Review expiration lists.
โ€ข May issue binders, policies, and endorsements as directed.
โ€ข Create and maintain files according to policies and procedures guidelines.
โ€ข Prepare or request loss summaries and/or detailed insurance summaries.
โ€ข Assist in reconciliation of accounts receivable by account.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
โ€ข 1 year + of customer service experience.
โ€ข High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required.
โ€ข Experience performing a variety of clerical functions. Includes photocopying, faxing, filing, and data entry.
โ€ข Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
โ€ข Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications. Utilize search tools to find information.
โ€ข Analytical ability with high attention to detail and accuracy.
โ€ข Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
โ€ข Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
