Here's what you will do:
  • Participates in kick-off and project requirement meetings.
  • Completes basic design, development and testing of electrical equipment and systems, industrial process control systems, computers, computer systems and networks, and computer software.
  • Assists with the installation, commissioning and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems - which may include travel to the customer location.
  • Sets up and operates specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Conducts basic PLC programming, HMI design, and electrical design.
  • Conducts basic troubleshooting, testing, and debugging.
  • Updates project documentation in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Supports on-site field service and emergency calls.
  • May assist with quoting projects, writing specifications, and creating schedules and technical reports.
  • Uses independent judgement in problem solving following established guidelines.
  • Provides support or technical guidance to colleagues on the engineering team assigned to work on a common project.
  • Solves problems of a routine nature with ample precedent or clearly defined procedures.

Minimally, we are looking for:
  • 2 years education in automation related coursework and 2 years of work-related experience OR 4 year degree in electrical or related field of engineering and 2 years of related work experience.
