Job Details
Responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, and evaluating all activities associated with all fitness programs including group fitness program and the personal training program. This requires the supervising and mentoring of student employees, scheduling classes & special fitness events. The Graduate Assistant will become acquainted with the procedures and guidelines associated with University Recreation. Evening and weekend hours will be required around class times.
Duties:
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of Fitness programming
  • Special event programming for Fitness
  • Oversight and management of Group Fitness and Personal training programs.
  • Mentoring student staff, giving feedback, assisting in Instructor trainings, Personal trainer courses and development of fitness staff.
  • Planning fitness programs for the academic year, as well as administrative assistance with staff scheduling, equipment inventory and purchase recommendations.
  • Administrative work in Fusion software, for scheduling classes, events etc.

Bachelor's degree; Applicants must be accepted into the Coastal Carolina University graduate program.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a university campus recreation program, Group Fitness/Personal Training certification & CPR/FA/AED certifications are strongly preferred.
