Job description

Increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by overseeing warehouse embroidery operations to achieve production and quality standards. Manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution center to include forecasting, strategy execution and staffing. Assure all work is performed in a safe, secure, efficient and cost effective manner that complies with company policy, OSHA and other applicable regulations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Provide direction and guidance to embroidery team members to assure daily productivity and quality standards are achieved.
  • Establish work procedures and processes that support Galls, LLC and departmental standards and strategic directives. Conduct continual evaluation of processes and procedures and execute new methods to improve area operations and efficiency.
  • Assist in personnel decision to include hiring, training and evaluating performance of associates.
  • Address all disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy.
  • Assure necessary manpower is scheduled appropriately to achieve all operational goals.
  • Assure associates are properly trained and coached to efficiently and effectively perform in cross functional areas of the operation and that they have the appropriate tools and resources to perform tasks assigned.
  • Provide efficient and productive communication within the warehouse as well as with other departments within Galls.
  • Examine work for accuracy, neatness and compliance to policy and procedure.
  • Provide statistical and performance feedback on a regular basis to each team member to maximize performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise and implement efficient and effective resolution.
  • Maintain necessary spreadsheets to track business metrics to include daily recaps.
  • Perform time-keeping functions within ADP to include monitoring and validating time cards, monitoring and validating attendance exceptions and entering scheduling changes.
  • Ongoing monitoring of employee safety and conformance to all safety guidelines. Responsible for managing any safety and security issues that arise in the warehouse. Secure the building as needed.
  • Flex personal shift as needed to meet business needs to include changing to an earlier or later shift start time based on the changing needs of the Distribution Center to include week day and weekend schedule.
  • Assure housekeeping is performed daily and department is clean and safe

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Proven leadership and managerial experience required
  • 3-5 years experience as supervisor in warehouse setting and/or bachelor's degree required
  • Knowledge of all Outbound operations and ability to work in and train associations within all functions
  • Prior experience in managing a diverse workforce of 20 or more employees required
  • Comply with equal employment opportunity laws, regulations and company policies
  • Prior experience with managing metrics and running reports
  • Strong record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations
  • Prior experience working with a diverse work-force
  • Knowledge/experience with warehouse tools to include WMS (warehouse management systems), RF gun technology, Material Handling Equipment and conveyor systems
  • Ability to develop and motivate teams
  • Proven track record of process improvement in a distribution center environment
  • Ability to provide clear vision and direction to team
  • Computer skills to include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and GQ (internal order management system)
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and flex assigned shift schedule as required to meet business needs
