Job description

Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and provides nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process to facilitate the patient's progression toward optimal health. 

Requirements


Communicate with Charge Nurse/Nursing Supervisor and DON on changing patient needs.

Act as a patient advocate as circumstances require, by initiating actions to improve care or to change decisions or activities which are against the interest or wished of the patient, and by giving the patient the opportunity to make informed decisions about healthcare before it is provided. 

Perform any other task as assigned to by Director of  Nursing. 

Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time frames.

Attends staff meetings as scheduled.  

Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.

Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience preferred.

Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Louisiana.  

Current BLS certification is required upon hire.

ACLS and PALs certification is required within 6 months of hire.Â
