10,000 Sign on Bonus 3yr Commitment RN 1yr Number of beds on unit: 30 beds Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): 18-year-old and older Nurse to Patient ratio: 4-6 patients to 1 RN Oncology Nursing Society support education and resources, Active Department Shared Governance, Mentor/Mentee Program for New Grads and for those looking for Oncology Nursing Certification Frequent nursing skills/equipment used: Oncology skill set (inpatient chemotherapy and radiation), palliative and end of life care and general medical patients. ~ Sign on Bonus $10,000 (3yr Commitment) Relocation $5,000 100miles Relocation $2500 50miles to 100miles BSN Bonus $2500 External applicants and RN 1yr Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Education: Nursing, Work Experience: Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and that is based on patient and family needs. Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation.Communicates with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues. Appropriately perform patient care duties such as: head-to-toe assessments, start IVs, insert NG tubes, dressing changes, administer medications, insert foley catheters Access Mediports and maintain port throughout the shift Must maintain documentation standards as evidenced by passed quarterly chart audits Provide emotional support to patients and their families. Administer Chemotherapy/Biotherapy to patients not only on the Oncology unit but also throughout the hospital.
