As a Security Officer Education Campus in Dix Hills, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer supporting an educational location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain communication with site contacts, school personnel, and Allied Universal management as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
