Immanuel Communities is seeking a Assistant Director of Nursing to work at Deerfield located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites.

Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Job Duties & Skills Required

What You Will Do

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) has 24-hour accountability and supports the Director of Nursing (DON) with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family and employee satisfaction. The ADON serves as a clinical operational liaison between the households and the DON/Executive Director. Additionally, he/she is responsible for facilitating the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, coordination and communication with other departments, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction.

Skills & Requirements

Completion of a Registered Nurse program in an accredited institution required.Must hold current license as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or Iowa, Nebraska and Iowa are Compact States so the license must be held in the state of residence.

Currently hold a Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certificate (RAC-CT) is preferred. Must have One (1) year or more of supervisory experience as a Nurse.

Three (3) years of progressive experience as a Registered Nurse in a long term care and/or medical/surgical setting.
