Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) administers routine health care & nursing services to Residents, maintains a suitable environment for Residents & visitors, and performs related duties as required.
Description:
Under the supervision of the DON, the Assistant Director of Nursing/Unit Coordinator and/or the Charge Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional staff by performing various Resident care activities & related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of Residents. CNAs are responsible for the delivery of Resident care (e.g. bathing, personal grooming, feeding) as well as assisting Residents with other Activities of Daily Living (e.g. transferring, dressing, toileting). The CNA strives to provide the highest degree of quality Resident care in accordance with State & Federal regulations, Facility policies & procedures, and Resident wishes/directives. This position helps to assure that the total needs of the Residents are met.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants and maintain certification in good standing in the state where work will be performed
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain CPR certification within 90 days of date of hire;
  • Satisfactory OIG exclusions and background check;
  • Satisfactory personal & professional references.
