BarkPlace & Co. is a modern dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility focused on providing safe, structured, and attentive care for every dog in our facility. We are looking for dependable, hardworking team members who genuinely enjoy working with dogs and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Position Overview
This is a cross-functional role that combines dog handling, daycare supervision, boarding care, facility maintenance, and customer service responsibilities.

Our team members are expected to assist wherever needed throughout the facility. One moment you may be supervising a daycare playgroup, and the next you may be checking in a customer, cleaning a kennel, administering a meal, or assisting with daily operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is comfortable working as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Dog Handling & Daycare Supervision
- Supervise and safely manage groups of dogs in daycare playgroups
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene appropriately when necessary
- Ensure safe play, proper introductions, and positive group dynamics
- Maintain constant awareness of dog interactions and overall safety
- Follow BarkPlace & Co. handling and safety protocols at all times

Boarding & Pet Care
- Feed dogs according to individual instructions
- Refresh water throughout the day
- Administer medications as directed
- Escort dogs between daycare, boarding, grooming, and designated areas
- Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury, stress, or behavioral concerns
- Report observations promptly to management
- Customer Service & Front Desk Support
- Greet customers professionally and warmly
- Assist with check-ins and check-outs
- Answer phones and respond to basic customer inquiries
- Schedule appointments and update customer information
- Process payments and support daily front desk operations
- Cleaning & Facility Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize daycare areas, kennels, play yards, and common spaces
- Immediately clean accidents and maintain sanitary conditions
- Wash bowls, bedding, toys, and equipment
- Follow opening, closing, and daily cleaning checklists
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility appearance

Qualifications
- Previous dog daycare, boarding, kennel, veterinary, shelter, or animal-care experience preferred
- Strong understanding of canine behavior and body language preferred
- Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, clean, and work actively for extended periods

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to safely handle large and energetic dogs

Schedule Requirements
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Morning, evening, and closing shifts  between 6:00a - 7:00p required
- Occasional Overnight Boarding flexibilty required
