Job description

This position is responsible for:
Providing administrative, clerical, and confidential support across the department. Reporting to the Legal Operations Manager, this position also supports core legal operations, including mail and check processing, legal file and document management, Legal Tracker data maintenance, financial-document verification, and assigned legacy and litigation support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • The Legal Administrative Assistant II will process and route incoming mail, checks, donations, and related documentation; maintain accurate tracking logs and control records; scan, index, file, retrieve, and update physical and electronic legal records; and assist with setting up and maintaining matters in Legal Tracker and other approved repositories.
  • Assists with upload of check documentation, supports special projects, and helps maintain complete, organized, audit-ready records.
  • Provides primary administrative support for legacy matters, including correspondence, calendar and deadline tracking, document routing, and file maintenance, while providing backup support for litigation-related administrative work.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to operate various general office equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment with little or no physical discomfort from weather changes or from noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D, associate's degree preferred.

Three (3) years of job-related experience working in a legal environment.
