Job description

Allegiance Mobile Health of Waxahachie, TX is looking to hire a District Supervisor (ODS).
SUMMARY: The District Supervisor is responsible for overseeing field personnel and coordinating with other supervisors to ensure all goals are being met. The District Supervisor must have excellent communication skills, ability to organize and manage team members, and implement policies and procedures. The District Supervisor will report to the District Manager for that region.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily supervision of all crew members. Including but not limited to:
    • Assist with scheduling and staffing for same day and next day.
    • Assist with assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of EMT-B, Intermediate and Paramedics.
    • Assure crews are responding quickly and efficiently.
    • Monitor system status.
    • Ensure that all employee hours are entered and correct for payroll.
  • Cooperates with other members of management to continuously improve service.
  • Assists in all aspects of equipment and vehicle maintenance (including oil changes - schedule with District Manager and Dispatch) including verification that all units are clean, stocked, and in working order.
  • Verifies that stations and equipment are clean and well kept.
  • Responsible for monitoring station supplies.
  • Provide training and evaluation to new and existing employees.
  • Ensure that all necessary patient care and billing documentation is completed within specific time-frames and complies with all current policies and procedures.
    • Consult with District Manager on charts that need to go to crews for review.
    • Work on PCSs.
    • Work on signature charts.
  • Completes daily and monthly reports as required.
  • Attends all required staff meetings.
  • Assist in handling issues as they arise.
  • Able to staff a truck and run calls if needed.
  • Field phone calls from staff regarding issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong Interpersonal/Organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver license and insurable driver record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift, carry, balance and push up to 125 pounds (250 pounds with assistance).
  • Demonstrate flexibility and physical coordination by bending from the waist and touching toes, squat with legs parallel to the ground, and kneeling with both knees firmly on the ground.
  • Repetitive lifting, squatting, stooping and kneeling.
  • Climb 20 sets of stairs without rest within 60 seconds.
  • Demonstrate fine manual dexterity by performing job related clinical skills (starting IV's, intubating, etc.).
  • Have correctable vision adequate to read street signs, see in low light and read small print.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Paramedic certification with minimum of 2 years EMS experience.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
