Description
Position Summary: The Operations Supervisor oversees the day-to-day execution of warehouse and distribution operations at Blackrock Logistics, ensuring that receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping activities are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role directly supervises a team of warehouse associates and leads, coordinating staffing, workflow, and productivity to meet service and performance targets. The position exists to maintain efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations while fostering a safe, engaged, and high-performing workforce in support of the company's logistics commitments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse associates, leads, and equipment operators across assigned shifts.
  • Plan and direct receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory-control processes to meet productivity and accuracy targets.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (throughput, order accuracy, on-time shipping, and labor utilization) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Enforce safety policies and Cal/OSHA requirements, conduct safety briefings, and ensure proper, certified use of material-handling equipment.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members; provide performance feedback and support hiring, scheduling, and disciplinary decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with California wage-and-hour requirements, including timely meal and rest breaks and accurate timekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with transportation, customer service, and management teams to resolve operational issues and meet customer commitments.
  • Oversee housekeeping, organization, and the safe condition of the facility, equipment, and work areas.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including at least one (1) year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material-handling practices.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of workplace safety standards, including Cal/OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as operational needs require.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Current forklift or other powered industrial truck (PIT) certification.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methodologies.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating with carriers and transportation partners in a multi-shift distribution environment.
  • Prior experience implementing or improving WMS configurations or operational workflows.

Schedule: Thursday thru Monday 9:00 pm to 5:30 am
With flexibility of working six (6) days
