Rate: $20 USD per hour

Description

LOCATION: Chandler, AZ

STATUS: FT/Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma with some experience and/or education in office support and management required

  • Data Entry skills

  • Social Service experience preferred

  • Some light property management experience a plus

  • Must be well organized and detail orientated.

  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Inventory and product ordering experience.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass The Salvation Army Fleet Safety e-learning module

  • Must possess an valid Arizona DL with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to provide proof of vehicle insurance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with co-workers. This would include, but is not limited to such actions: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors and clients; respect of others’ property and person and professional and appropriate communication to and about co-workers, and subordinates.

  • Prepare all correspondence as requested

  • Collect and count weekly collections and submit to necessary personal

  • Assist with tenant screening and application processing.

  • Keep accurate records

  • Maintain up-to-date volunteer data for all programs.

  • Assist Administration with seasonal and other special events.

  • Assist with food pantry and clients as needed.

  • Answer incoming calls and transfer to appropriate personnel as needed

  • Gather statistics each month and compile monthly Office Report. Submit to database

  • Perform daily operations of the Corps that are assigned

  • Assist with ensuring basic forms are in supply for programs.

  • Attend and note take for program meetings as assigned.

  • Organize meals/food for program meetings

  • Maintain and order supplies for office needs

  • Manage daily mail pick up and drop off

  • Organize and mail checks to CDS

  • All other duties as assigned as it relates to the position of Administrative Assistant.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. The Salvation Army will attempt to satisfy requests as long as the accommodation needed is reasonable and no undue hardship would result.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
