Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location: Pensacola, FL

Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group - Gulf Coast Ortho Specialist

Department: Ortho Surgery Group

Schedule: Day | Full-time | Monday - Friday

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Manage the patient journey by greeting patients, taking vitals, collecting medical history, and proactively assisting providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Provide clear, supportive follow-up by updating patients on test results and discussing health-related questions as directed by the provider.
  • Maintain a safe and pristine environment by cleaning and preparing treatment rooms.
  • Drive efficiency by managing critical administrative workflows, including charting, addressing patient questions, and processing referrals and prior authorizations.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional requirements you'll need
  • 1 year of medical assistant experience. 
  • Medical assistant education and training.
