Assistant Clinic Director - Management Track

CARESPACE Health+Wellness

Cambridge, ON • On-site

Full-time

Dental, Vision, Life

Re-posted 26 days ago

Job description

Good practitioners do not always leave good clinics because they are unhappy.

Sometimes they leave because they have grown as far as they can there.

At many clinics, someone must retire or leave before another practitioner can move up. At CARESPACE, growth creates the next opportunity. We currently have 4 Assistant Director openings because recent new clinic openings created internal promotions.

That is what a real management track looks like.

CARESPACE Health+Wellness is looking for qualified practicing practitioners who want to keep working with clients while growing into management, leadership, coaching, team development, and clinic performance.

Openings are available across Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge.

This role is only for qualified practitioners in one of these disciplines:

Chiropractor
Physiotherapist
Massage therapist
Psychotherapist
Naturopathic doctor
Dietitian
Kinesiologist
Osteopath
Occupational therapist
Psychologist

Why This Opportunity Is Different

CARESPACE is growing quickly.

The Globe and Mail ranked CARESPACE #45 on its list of Top Growing Companies in 2025, backed by 737% growth over three years.

And the growth is continuing:

In October, we opened our 6th location in Waterloo.
In March, we opened our 7th location and first Cambridge clinic.
In June, we opened our 8th location at Deer Ridge in Kitchener.
Our 9th location opens in Kitchener this September.

Those openings created internal promotions.
Those promotions created the 4 Assistant Director openings we are hiring for now.

That is real movement in the management track.

Our Assistant Directors are the bench for future Clinic Directors, District Managers, and CARESPACE leaders. We promote from within because our client-focused culture is too important to outsource.

Management Without Leaving Practice Behind

At CARESPACE, management does not mean giving up client care.

Our Assistant Directors, Clinic Directors, and District Managers are practicing practitioners. They continue working with clients and multidisciplinary teams while also leading standards, culture, performance, coaching, and practitioner development.

You are not expected to carry a full practitioner schedule and then manage the clinic in whatever time is left over.

The role is structured to balance:

Client care
Management responsibility
Team leadership
Coaching and practitioner support
Clinic performance

CARESPACE can do this because our model is intentionally admin-lite. We are not built around WSIB claims, MVA claims, ODSP administration, insurance-driven care plans, or funding-source bureaucracy.

Our managers are not paperwork managers.

They are practitioner-leaders focused on helping great practitioners provide great client care.

Why Practitioners Like CARESPACE

Practitioners like being at CARESPACE because they feel supported in providing great client care.

They are not left to work in isolation. They are part of a coordinated care model with a multidisciplinary team focused on helping clients achieve meaningful health goals.

CARESPACE is built around client-focused coordinated care across manual therapy, mental health, and lifestyle optimization. Practitioners do not simply share space. They work together around client goals.

Our team includes new graduates, experienced practitioners, local and internationally trained professionals, former clinic owners, and former university professors.

Different backgrounds are a strength. The common theme is clear:

client-focused care, evidence-based practice, collaboration, and coordinated care.

CARESPACE also provides:

Central reception support
New client booking and follow-up
A strong internal referral engine
Coordinated care systems
Professional clinic environments
Large, bright treatment rooms
More than 150 practitioners across 12 disciplines
More than 850 new clients every month

Your job is not to compensate for a broken system.

Your job is to help a strong system perform even better.

Support for Your Growth

You will not be expected to figure leadership out alone.

CARESPACE supports practitioner and leadership development through:

STRIVE in-house training
Mentorship
Discipline-specific supervision
Professional development support
Certified Mental Performance coaching
Leadership development through real clinic operations

CARESPACE also offers group benefits, including dental, vision, drug coverage, life insurance, travel coverage, EAP, wellness program discounts for you and your family, and free gym access at every location.

This Role May Be Right for You If

You like your current clinic, but there is no clear management path.

You enjoy client care and want to keep practicing.

You want to grow into management without becoming a full-time administrator.

You enjoy helping other practitioners perform better.

You believe healthcare works better when practitioners collaborate.

You want to lead standards, coach people, support culture, and improve clinic performance.

You are ready for the next level, even if you are not actively looking.

Who Should Apply

You should be:

Licensed, registered, or appropriately qualified in one of the listed disciplines
In good standing with your regulatory college or professional body, where applicable
Experienced in clinical or client-facing care
Client-focused, evidence-based, collaborative, and professional
Interested in management, not just a busier schedule
Comfortable balancing practice with leadership responsibility
Motivated to help a team perform at high standards

This is not a front desk management role, office administration role, or general management job.

It is for qualified healthcare practitioners who want a real management track while continuing to practice.
