Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (In-Patient Psychiatric)

Location: New Baltimore, MI ($10K – Relocation $$ Available) (Fulltime-Onsite)

Summary: Assist the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) / Director of Nursing (DON) in directing, planning, coordinating, and supervising nursing operations and the delivery of behavioral health services. Ensure efficient operations while maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional approach toward patients and staff. Emphasize patient safety as the highest priority. 

Responsibilities
  • Support leadership in managing nursing operations within an inpatient psychiatric setting
  • Coordinate and oversee delivery of behavioral health nursing services
  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to clinical standards
  • Monitor operational efficiency and patient care quality
  • Promote a culture of safety, empathy, and professionalism
  • Assist in policy implementation and compliance with healthcare regulations

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; advanced degree (MSN/DNP) is a plus
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (5+ years preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery (2+ years preferred)
  • Prior Nursing Manager experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive leadership/management experience required
  • CPR certification required
  • De-escalation/restraint certification required (training may be provided)
  • First Aid certification
