What We Are Looking For
A driven and mission-focused men's prison Academy Program Manager to lead the day-to-day operations within the Mississippi State Penitentiary for men in Parchman, MS.
Role Responsibilities
  • Deliver classroom-based curriculum using transformational teaching methods and provide case planning and case management support for program participants within the correctional facility.
  • Recruit, interview, and select program participants and volunteers to help foster a positive, supportive, and pro-social environment.
  • Maintain strong communication and coordination with correctional facility staff to ensure compliance with Department of Corrections policies and procedures.
  • Partner with wardens and correctional staff to identify, approve, and coordinate special program needs and activities.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, wardens, correctional staff, and other key stakeholders to support program success.
Key Qualifications
  • 7+ years of program management experience, including budget oversight, operational planning, and direct staff leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams in a mission-driven or service-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in classroom instruction, facilitation, and case management, with the ability to support individuals' growth and development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business, Human Services, Education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite within a correctional facility in Parchman, MS.
Work Arrangement
  • Full-time in-prison position in Parchman, MS
  • The driving aspect of this role is subject to certain driving record and insurance requirements
  • Less than 5% travel required

Salary at Prison Fellowship is determined by a variety of factors. For this position, the salary range is projected to be between $60,000 and $65,000.
