DNAM Brands is a family-owned and operated company that owns and licenses a portfolio of globally recognized fashion and lifestyle brands, including Von Dutch, Ed Hardy, Valentino Orlandi, Allbirds, Badgley Mischka, and more.As we continue to scale our wholesale, direct-to-consumer, and global distribution business, we are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize our end-to-end operational infrastructure.

This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing logistics, fulfillment, inventory flow, third-party warehouse operations, customer experience, ecommerce operations, and cross-functional execution. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Director of Operations will build scalable operational processes, lead strategic initiatives, and ensure flawless execution across product launches, wholesale fulfillment, e-commerce operations, and international supply chain management.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, building high-performing teams, and creating scalable processes that support rapid business growth.

Responsibilities
Operations Leadership & Cross-Functional Management
  • Lead the company's day-to-day operational strategy across e-commerce, wholesale, warehouse, logistics, inventory, and fulfillment
  • Partner closely with Executive Leadership, Production, Planning, Sales, E-commerce, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Finance to ensure operational alignment across all business functions
  • Own operational execution across all sales channels, including:
    • Shopify Plus
    • TikTok Shop
    • Wholesale
    • Marketplace & Future Commerce Channels
  • Lead weekly operational meetings, launch readiness meetings, and executive business reviews
  • Develop project plans, timelines, dashboards, and presentations to communicate operational performance and strategic initiatives
  • Create contingency plans to mitigate operational risks, supply chain disruptions, and inventory challenges
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Oversee domestic and international logistics from manufacturing partners through final warehouse delivery
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, parcel carriers, and transportation providers
  • Coordinate inbound ocean and air shipments while monitoring delivery timelines and transportation costs
  • Track freight expenses, landed costs, duties, and shipping performance by purchase order
  • Ensure all import documentation, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation are accurate and compliant
  • Collaborate closely with Production and Planning teams to ensure inventory arrives on schedule for launches and customer commitments
Warehouse & Fulfillment Operations
  • Lead relationships with internal warehouse teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers
  • Ensure accurate receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping performance
  • Monitor warehouse productivity, order accuracy, shipping SLAs, and operational KPIs
  • Review warehouse capacity planning to support business growth and seasonal demand
  • Oversee warehouse supply management, packaging materials, and operational readiness
  • Review fulfillment performance and implement continuous process improvements
E-Commerce & Omni-channel Operations
  • Partner closely with the E-commerce team to ensure operational excellence across all digital channels
  • Support product launches, promotional campaigns, inventory synchronization, and order fulfillment
  • Oversee operational execution for:
    • Shopify Plus
    • TikTok Shop
    • Wholesale accounts
    • Pop-up events
    • Retail partnerships
  • Ensure inventory accuracy across all sales channels
  • Coordinate launch readiness with Marketing, Creative, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations
Customer Experience & Reverse Logistics
  • Partner with Customer Service leadership to improve the post-purchase customer experience
  • Monitor fulfillment-related customer issues and implement operational improvements
  • Oversee returns management, reverse logistics, and returns platform performance
  • Analyze customer feedback to identify recurring operational issues and improve service levels
  • Develop scalable processes that improve delivery accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction
Inventory & Operational Planning
  • Partner with Planning, Production, and Finance to forecast inventory needs and operational capacity
  • Monitor inventory flow from factories through warehouse receipt and customer fulfillment
  • Identify inventory risks and recommend operational solutions to support business objectives
  • Improve inventory visibility and reporting across departments
Vendor & Partner Management
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for logistics providers, warehouse partners, freight companies, and key vendors
  • Manage vendor performance through service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and ongoing business reviews
  • Negotiate operational services where appropriate while maintaining high service standards
  • Review and approve operational invoices related to warehousing, freight, logistics, and fulfillment
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Evaluate operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, fulfillment, and customer operations
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives using data and operational metrics
  • Introduce automation, technology, and AI-powered operational tools where appropriate to improve business performance
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies, transportation regulations, customs requirements, and company standards
  • Support annual operational audits in partnership with Finance and Human Resources
  • Oversee operational insurance requirements and Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for vendors and partners
  • Identify operational risks and implement preventative solutions to minimize disruption
Leadership & Team Development
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing operations, warehouse, and logistics teams
  • Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and professional development plans
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented culture across departments
  • Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, organizational planning, and succession development
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or warehouse management
  • Experience within fashion, apparel, accessories, consumer products, or omni-channel retail preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) operations
    • Wholesale distribution
    • Shopify Plus
    • Warehouse operations
    • Inventory management
    • International freight and logistics
    • Third-party logistics (3PL)
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and external operational partners
