Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Are you a passionate nursing leader ready to take the next step in your career? A skilled nursing and rehabilitation center is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help lead our clinical team and deliver exceptional resident care. In this role, you will partner with the Director of Nursing to support daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of excellence, compassion, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing all nursing operations

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical programs and services

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care

  • Participate in Quality Assurance, Infection Control, Safety, and leadership committees

  • Oversee staff onboarding, training, and development

  • Conduct staff meetings to address challenges and drive engagement

  • Support survey readiness and participate in accreditation processes

  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
