Media Planner
The media team at Modern Climate develops and deploys digital media and cross-channel
campaigns. We place a strong emphasis on testing and learning and are looking for
individuals who embody this philosophy.

To this end, Modern Climate is looking for an Media Planner - someone who is passionate
about staying on top of digital media trends and creating media strategies for our great
group of clients. We are looking for a positive, innovative, self-starter with an eye for detail.

The ideal candidate would have 1-2 years experience in planning and executing paid media
campaigns and have exposure to the major digital marketing platforms, web analytics, social
media platforms with a good sense of how to set up and manage campaigns. Major
platforms include Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. The candidate should have an interest in
campaign management, report and performance analysis and be passionate about striving
to beat performance goals.

The candidate is expected to be curious and have a strong point of view. This position offers
an exciting opportunity to research and plan the paid media strategies for Modern Climate’s
roster of clients, by making their brands matter.
The salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities
● Assist media team to build and plan the media strategies and campaigns, including
media targeting research amp; planning, and performance benchmarking amp; forecasting.
● Take ownership of gathering specs and assets needed for media campaigns and asset
trafficking by due dates.
● Day-to-day management of digital media campaigns, ensuring budget stays on target
and performance is above benchmark.
● Maintain performance dashboards and generate monthly performance reports. This
includes assisting in written insight development and deeper dive performance
analysis.
● Use GA4 to monitor and assess digital media traffic to client websites.
● Help manage rep/vendor relationships, staying up to date on communication and
keeping positive relationships.
● Assist strategy team with research reports, competitive audits and client briefing
documents to gather key insights.
● Assist with RFP generation and proposal analysis involving 3rd party media vendor
tactics such as OOH, Radio, Print.
● Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices affecting digital media
landscape.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
● 1-2 years of experience in an assistant digital media planner, strategist or similar role
● Good knowledge of digital marketing platforms Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and/or
other ad platforms
● 1 year of hands-on experience with paid search and paid social management
● Understanding of media KPIs and their importance across the media funnel
● Experience with digital media reporting, and website analytics
● Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
● Detail oriented is a must
● Good time-management skills
● Great interpersonal and communication skills
● Degree in Marketing, Digital technologies or relevant field
